This little Lady loves Mermaid everything! We incorporated her 2 favorite colors (pink & light blue) along with other fun under the sea treasures & friends! Oh & we absolutely had to include her Cuddle & Kind Pearl the Mermaid as well!

Before planning this Magic Box session, I had a vision of Mickey shaped cucumbers over her eyes! I also knew that princesses were a must, but how could she just choose one?!? That’s when I knew she needed a girly glittery tutu dress (rented from Rainey’s Closet), several princess dresses, a castle, confetti, star wand, & Mickey shaped ice cream pops were also a must! Everything about this session was magic!

Right before the pandemic, we were able to take a trip to the American Girl Doll Store at Tyson’s Corner, & let’s just say it did not disappoint!
From the time we walked through those doors we were greeted with a sea of pink & purple boxes as well as a variety of dolls with many adorable accessories. This little lady was in pure Awe of it all! (I have to admit I was too since it was my first time visiting this place). We selected the Welliewisher birthday lunch that came included with an appetizer & meal of your choice—all which were super delicious & then we got a birthday cake to go! The cutest part of the lunch is they provided a little chair for the doll to sit in at the table too! Once we finished our meal we browsed the store and checked out all of the different dolls that represented different cultures & generations and all of the detailed accessories that went with them….from there we proceeded downstairs to the Welliewisher section where tough decisions had to be made of how to spend her birthday money! (When there are so many amazing choices she can be indecisive just like her Mama!) but after it was all said and done she was so excited to pay and go home and play with her new doll/accessories!
With online shopping’s convenience and affordable prices we rarely take our kids to actual stores (especially since Toys R Us is gone) but I must admit the experience of this trip made it all the more special and we might just have to make this an annual tradition!
